Located on the Greenwich Peninsula in Southeast London, The O2 Arena is a multipurpose 20,000 capacity indoor arena, making it one of Europe’s largest music venues. The site is also home to an impressive Entertainment District housing 30 bars and restaurants, outlet stores, a cinema, an indoor trampoline park, a bowling alley and much more, making this surrounding area a standalone attraction.

For members of CGI’s UK-based team, there is a long-standing history with this site that goes back almost a quarter of a century, since its inception. Fast-forward to present day, and the Entertainment District’s network system had recently reached the end of its supportable life.

The trust between both parties saw CGI re-design and install a new, integrated control system based on the arena’s existing platform. There is a dual redundant network system controlling all PAVA, paging and music systems in the venue that now provide a better granulation of control for music and paging functions. CGI has also delivered high-end amplifiers and loudspeakers to the main entrance, ensuring crystal clear sound quality for visitors and staff alike.
